Walked by Salon Viva 8 years ago and decided to give the men’s haircut a try. To this day I refuse to go anywhere else. I’m constantly getting complimented on my haircuts. The comfort and consistency are unmatched by any other place! Scheduling is easy and they will always do their best to make time for you. I’ve since recommended countless people to this salon and all have became permanent customers. Highly recommend for LA locals and people just visiting in need a great cut.

I've been searching for a salon since I moved to LA in '06 - thank heavens I found Salon Viva!! The team there is always polite and accommodating. I especially love my stylist - Herbie! Since finding Herbie I receive so many compliments on my hair, and not just from my friends, but strangers as well! Herbie just gets it! He knows how to help me step out of my comfort zone without making me completely uncomfortable with decisions - baby steps for sure, but I wouldn't push without his help! I especially love how attentive he is while I'm in the chair. He's just fantastic - and I tell everyone I know exactly that!

If you are looking for the BEST cut and color in Santa Monica, look no further! I absolutely LOVE this place! It's a gorgeous and clean salon! The owners Amad and Vanessa are both very sweet and very skilled at what they do. I received a color gloss, haircut, and blow dry/flat iron by Vanessa on my 3C curls. I really appreciate her patience with my hair and the products she used on me were great. My hair is super smooth and all the brassyness is gone! I'm so thrilled with my hair and will be back for sure!

I was very lucky to find Vanessa about 4 years ago while looking for a hairstylist who could fix the mess I had in my hair done by some other places. I was surprised to see how many amazing 5 star reviews she had on Yelp so I took a chance and got my appointment. My hair was in really bad shape and she was so careful and knowledgeable, she did an amazing job. Since then she’s my go to stylist, I see her very often. I love how my highlights and lowlights look and she cuts like magic! Not to mention she’s super friendly and welcoming . I have recommended Vanessa to all my friends, you should visit her too.

I’ve been getting my haircut here for about 5 years and have always had a good experience. I’m a very picky customer and Vanessa always listens to me and never cuts off more than I ask. She always finds the best way to shape my hair and bring it to life. Recently I decided to try a new hair color, so I started doing a lot of research to find the place for me. I read horror stories of other salons on Yelp, so I decided to give Salon Viva a chance. Vanessa gave me a free consultation and I decided to give her a shot. I brought in photos of what I wanted and she did her best to help me get the color I wanted. I’m very happy with her work and dedication. In addition to all this, the price is competitive and they do not charge extra to dry and style your hair, which I appreciate.

Vanessa is AMAZING at what she does. Including but not limited to: hairstyle blowouts, blending, toning and cutting hair! I have going to Vanessa for years and swear I’ll never go to anyone else again! She’ s the only hair go to anyone else again! She’s the only hair stylist who has ever made me look like a natural blonde. I would recommend her to anyone in the Santa Monica-West Los Angeles area.
